Amanda is a senior junior and specialist family law practitioner who practices in all areas of family law involving children. In particular, Amanda specialises in public law cases, and cases with an international element. Her extensive experience in all aspects of the law relating to children means Amanda has a wealth of experience representing local authorities, children, parents, extended family members and intervenors in complex NAI cases.

Family Law

The primary focus of Amanda’s practice is public law children cases. She has dealt with cases involving allegations of non-accidental injury and death, allegations of abuse and neglect, cases with an international element, selective mutism, fabricated illness, radicalisation, Secure Accommodation/DOLs, and cases involving the Official Solicitor, or in the Family Drug and Alcohol Courts.

As well as care proceedings, she is regularly instructed in cases involving adoption, relinquished babies, wardship, female genital mutilation, and forced marriage.

Amanda develops an easy rapport with her clients which enables her to give them robust advice. She will argue persuasively for her clients to achieve the best outcome, at all levels of court.
