
Karolina joined 42BR following the successful completion of her pupillage in October 2023 and has developed a broad practice across chambers’ areas of civil expertise.
As sole counsel, Karolina is regularly instructed in a variety of housing matters up to and including trial (including possessions, injunctions, disrepair/EPA cases, committals), multi-day employment trials and commercial/contractual/property disputes.

Business & Property Law
Karolina accepts instructions across various areas of business and property law. Since joining chambers, she has advised on matters including restrictive covenants, forfeiture of leases and service of various notices.
Recent cases include:
- Southend-on-Sea City Council v Mr Ruhul Mohammed Shamsuddin – successfully obtained first ever banning order made against a rogue landlord within Essex.
Further, she has represented individuals, companies and partnerships in a variety of commercial and contractual disputes, including breach, misrepresentation and Consumer Credit Act claims. She has acted for both creditors and debtors in personal and commercial insolvency matters, including bankruptcy and winding-up petitions.
Recent Business cases include:
- Advising and drafting pleadings in a breach of contract claim with a value of circa £600,000.
- Drafting pleadings in a breach of contract claim with additional considerations of duress and equity, with a value of circa £100,000.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
Karolina is an accredited Civil and Commercial mediator, having undertaken training at The Society of Mediators in January 2023.
She accepts instructions to mediate a variety of civil and commercial disputes, ranging in value and complexity. Karolina's mediation practice benefits from the knowledge and experience across numerous civil and commercial practice areas gained through her work as a barrister.
Direct Access
Karolina is authorised to accept instructions directly from members of the public, where appropriate, across chambers’ areas of expertise. She can prepare written advices, draft pleadings and provide representation at court hearings.
