
Karolina joined 42BR following the successful completion of her pupillage in October 2023 and has developed a broad practice across chambers’ areas of civil expertise.
As sole counsel, Karolina is regularly instructed in a variety of housing matters up to and including trial (including possessions, injunctions, disrepair/EPA cases, committals), multi-day employment trials and commercial/contractual/property disputes.

Housing Law
Karolina regularly acts for landlords and tenants across the private and social housing sectors, from the initial drafting of pleadings to representation at hearings in a broad range of proceedings, including possessions, injunctions (including ASB) up to and including committal, and disrepair matters (including prosecutions under the EPA 1990).
Recent cases include:
- The City of Westminster v Kulabi – successfully obtained a possession order at a 1-day final hearing, defeating a defence brought pursuant to Art 8 ECHR.
- Carter v Midland Heart - acted for a successful Claimant in a 2-day social housing disrepair claim.
- Drafting pleadings in a possession claim based on sustained social housing fraud over up to 20+ years, seeking recovery of unlawful profit of circa £45,000.
- RBKC v Azhar & Ors – acted for a Claimant seeking ASB injunctions against alleged known and unknown gang members.
Most recently, Karolina co-presented a webinar entitled “Foiling the fraudsters – how to detect and collect evidence of tenancy fraud”, a recording of which can be found here.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
Karolina is an accredited Civil and Commercial mediator, having undertaken training at The Society of Mediators in January 2023.
She accepts instructions to mediate a variety of civil and commercial disputes, ranging in value and complexity. Karolina's mediation practice benefits from the knowledge and experience across numerous civil and commercial practice areas gained through her work as a barrister.
Direct Access
Karolina is authorised to accept instructions directly from members of the public, where appropriate, across chambers’ areas of expertise. She can prepare written advices, draft pleadings and provide representation at court hearings.
